Let’s talk content creation today! This is something that has taken over social media and I’m clearly here for it. We have always consumed content daily, except now it’s taken a more genuine and personal approach. If you see your favorite content creator online posting daily and you think it looks so easy, I’m here to tell you that it’s not. Although it’s not easy, it’s 100% doable if you establish the right processes and get organized! Let’s get into what that looks like for me.
I work with my brand designer every month to bring you content on social media, my website, and my monthly newsletter [click here to subscribe if you haven’t!]. In doing so, I need to make sure my part is done before handing over all of the content for the month. Although we use Asana to work together, I plan out and organize all of my content in Notion prior to placing it in Asana.
I start out by writing out how many pieces of content I need. Example for May: 3 half body pics, 3 full body pics, 4 templates, 2 close up pics, etc. Once that’s done, I write out my content pillars or themes that I want to make a post about for each category (ex: service highlights, quotes/affirmations, entrepreneurship, etc.) Then, I take this breakdown and find the best photos needed from my existing gallery.
Pro tip: create a google drive folder or whatever storage option you prefer with an ongoing gallery. Whether it’s pictures of you, pictures for brand partnerships, product photos for your business, etc. — categorize them into folders and place all of those folders into a main “photos” folder. Never go searching for that one image from that one shoot ever again!
Notion provides different view options to show me my content plans in whatever way that looks best for me when working: table view, calendar view, or board view. Depending on what stage in the ideation process I’m in, I toggle between different views. I’m a girl who loves options and no one way works for everyone, so I’m a fan of Notion and everything it provides.
Oh, did I mention it’s free to use? Give it a try and watch your content creation process transform!
Sincerely,
SOS
