Why I make my bed every morning.
Have you ever experienced a day where you wake up already feeling exhausted or overwhelmed by your evergrowing to-do list? I have.
Have you ever experienced a day where you wake up already feeling exhausted or overwhelmed by your evergrowing to-do list? I have. The worst thing about these days is that when my bed isn’t made, I typically get back in it and then the feeling of regret takes over because I knew I had no business wasting my day that way.

freshly steamed sheets that I love!

Even when I get up feeling ready to tackle my day and getting back in bed isn’t really something I need to worry about, making up the bed makes me feel accomplished! It’s like my first win of the day and I thrive off of small wins. There’s nothing like an organized and tidy space, especially when you work from home and that’s what you’re staring at all day long. I love working from home, but the only thing that will get in my way is not having a clean and organized space.

they’re just right.

“Making the bed is about setting an intention to do the little things that bring about an orderly, thoughtful, responsible, balanced, or successful life. In addition to providing a quick sense of daily accomplishment, some people find making the bed calming as well.”
I read those two sentences in an article from Very Well Mind and it was settled: as long as I make my bed every morning, I’m slowly becoming more and more intentional with everything that I do. While the little things may seem trivial, they’re what make up the big picture.
Do you make your bed every morning or try to? If not, I encourage you to start! Even if you miss a day or two, don’t get discouraged. Setting small daily tasks like this and tackling them will help you stay consistent and productive every day.

Sincerely,
SOS
I recently just started being more intentional when it comes to making my bed. I enjoy making it cause as you stated, it becomes my first win of the day, but also coming home to a made bed it makes me feel good!
